This book is about the working qualities of a well bred Airedale.
In Nevada, and many western states, coyotes are considered varmits, and can be hunted at any time. These dogs, two Greyhounds, two Airedales, (catch dogs, kill dogs), are masters of their trade. A greyhound can catch a coyote over 300 yards away in less than a nimute. For every 100 yards the coyote will run, the greyhound will run 300.
In spite of the apparent distance, these dogs will close in on this coyote in less than 10 seconds.
This book highlights the working qualitaies of the Airedale Terrier. From coursing coyotes with greyhounds, to hog hunting in Texas, to bird hunting, coon hunting, and schutzhund and ringsport dogs, the Airedale Terrier can do it all.
And look really good while he's doing it.
